A Seal's Life:

Ocean Front Vacation Home

“A Seal’s Life” is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom little slice of heaven nestled on the rocky granite coastline of Bar Harbor, Maine and the home of Acadia National Park. This cottage was originally a part of an artist colony and is now a place of relaxation where you can gallop in the water, take a nature walk, bird watch, or simply sit and watch the seals as they play along the islands and shoreline.

“A Seal’s Life” abuts the Blagden Preserve, offering 110 acres of walking trails and Maine’s natural beauty. Beyond the preserve you will find a private road leading to this magical cottage we have named “A Seal’s Life”. We chose this name because of the many seals that you will see playing and sunbathing in front of the house. We have discovered the many lessons the seals have to offer: Staying in bed is okay, even good; Food can be dragged into bed; Play when you are not sleeping or eating; Rude noises are OK; Snoring is tolerable; If it goes on too long, BARK; Get fat, you’ll float better.

We hope that you will come enjoy our special home and discover your own lessons and appreciate all this stunning Maine vacation property has to offer.

No Pets are allowed at this property. If you would like to have your dog join you, we do have a dog-friendly annex at the Quimby House Inn.

“A Seal's Life" was truly one of the most magical places my family has ever stayed. This was our first trip to Acadia, and choosing this home to stay in was a perfect choice. The location is good, the view is more than we could have ever expected. We spent hours each morning gazing out on the serene waters and viewing the many seals enjoying their morning playtime. The home was clean and immaculately decorated with many thoughtful touches for the guest throughout. If ever we come back to Acadia, and I hope we do, we will definitely stay at "A Seal's Life" again.
