The Quimby House Inn was built in the late 1800’s as a residence for the Quimby Family. Since it’s resurrection, it has been a home and business and was converted into the Quimby House Inn in 1992 by William McFarland. Tim and Danielle Ray bought the Quimby House Inn in the summer of 2006 and operate the Inn year round.
Tim is a native to Maine. He grew up in Ellsworth, Maine, where his family owns Ray Plumbing and Heating. Tim worked as a Plumber for 17 years prior to purchasing a gas station and convenient store where he worked for 15 years before he and Danielle purchased the Quimby House Inn.
Danielle spent her summers in Maine where her family enjoy their summer home. She spent her winters in New Jersey, but much preferred her summers hiking in Acadia National Park and working and playing in Bar Harbor. Danielle has a degree in Psychology and has enjoyed working with children. Danielle is also a Massage Therapist and enjoys offering massage at the Inn.
Tim and Danielle met at Kebo Valley Golf Course in Bar Harbor. Tim and Danielle have two girls and have enjoyed raising their girls in the cheerful Inn environment. Tim & Danielle both enjoy the Quimby House Inn and the wonderful people they have the blessing of meeting on a daily basis. “It is a busy business, but so full of rewards.” Tim & Danielle take pride in the Inn. “The Quimby House Inn is our home as well as our future. We want each guest that stays with us to feel welcome and at home; that warms our hearts.”
